Anyone recomend a good source for some SS Manifolds? Seen 2 so far both coming at £530 plus vat for the pair. What I'm looking for is a good fit along with the worthwhile quality. Thanx

Got mine (n/s only) from Tim @ ACT. IIRC they are made by JP, but Tim sells them (for less than JP I think). Quality & fit is fine.

Best of luck with the good fit! both my manifolds had to be altered and I foolish brought a system from the same company. Three times I sent this back and in the end I modified the O/S manifold and system myself.I now have an offside manifold that that required no squeezing of the pipe to clear the chassis and box just a nice full bore. Must say it is a great fit now but it took the best part of 6 months on and off to sort it. And yes I did buy from the most recommended supplier on here! Just about to get it all polished now.

I know some people have been lucky and they can drop straight on but I would recommend bespoke to be honest.

the one finger bandit had some made for his motor, local (midlands).
beleive they would take your car in and fit, so no problems.
dont know how much but i will be needing some very shortly ,

any way let me know were you are going to buy from and lets get 2 sets and get a better price.

Hi Steve -I'll be up for that for sure. I'll end up sending my existing pair as patterns as my car is now laid up. I want my o/s manifold altered so it doesn't touch the chassis as it does now. The n/s is perfect.

My bespoke headers cost £670 fitted. They are absolutely fantastic and only took 3 days.

Thats a work of art..definately the way to go..Did you have them made exact to orig spec or did you increase the manifold bore..I love the aspect of custom manifold with co2 forced induction..big bore valves and road or race cams..but thats just me..and something i will contemplate when and if i have a rebuild..alot of guys moan when they see what amount of fiddly welding is involved in exhaust systems..originals are ok but if your after perfomance then you have to go bespoke..Performance cars have stainless steel manifolds and they are normally lagged to cut down on engine bay temperatures..Definately make your engine look sweet..nice..

They are the spec I wanted and I made them myself. Inch 3/4 stainless, 4 into 1, triple camcoat insulation inside and out with 3 bolt clamp for secure location to a 2 1/2 inch connector pipe but to be honest it's all a bit unnecessary if you have less than 350 bhp... smile

By the way - co2 would put out any fuel flame - you probably meant the oxident NO2.

Nitrogen dioxide would probably eat through your liners, block and even your s/s headers being quite acidic (when mixed with water)

You probably mean N20? ;^)
