Left hand drive car.
I took a right bend and got a wet foot.
I was testing my AC, which works ok and just manages to combat the heat from the tunnelbiggrin.

It appears the drain below the evaporator is blocked, quite common.
However, the diagram does not show a drain, nor does it show a hose.
I cannot believe anybody would design an AC system without a drain.

Before I get under the car with an air hose to search for it can anyone confirm it has one please. Which side it hangs down would be useful too.

Cheers

Can't you just attach some waterproof sheeting by using some contact adhesive?

The AC designer probably didn't. But then TVR got hold of it... wink

I dunno, all this recent talk of headlamp washers and air conditioning, are Wedge owners going soft or what? I was just thinking about this the other day, as I was honking along with the cruise control set at 90... wink

Jeff..please..dont go anywhere near that tin of glue...Try this with it first.. 2 x small squares(2") of ply or thin veneer scrap.. use a fine medium bristle brush..1/4" to 1/2" will do..now saturate the brush and apply like you would gloss paint spreading any areas that are more saturated..do this to one side of each bit of wood..leave it to dry for 5-10mins or untill it is touch dry, slightly tacky.. now press the wood together, clamp or tape..done.. if you have it squidging out the sides then you have used too much homes..Its no good if you cant apply it to both surfaces..Spray contact adhesive is sometime better used for jobs like roof linnings as the tack is lower at the start which allows for small movement when fitting..Paint on contact is more suited for carpet or fascias as it provides an extra grip when you match the two surfaces together..errors are less forgiving though.

Preciselysmile

Any Taz racers about?
I'm sure they have the box for the matrix and evaperator laying on their garage floor.
Does it have an extra hole lower left or right (or at all)

rev-erend is the only person I know who has A/C on his car.

This is probably of no interest to anyone but....biggrin
The drain hose for the condensation that accumalates on the evaporator is visable (just) if you stand on the left of the car, lean foreward, look down the tunnel you will see a 4" long 5/16" hose.

You would think smile

When I first attended Woodwork, (before I had working AC) I asked a quite a few Wedge owners whether they had AC and what they did to make it work like a proper car.

Most answered their AC did not work whislt giving me look that said "Why did you ask me that in front of other people"
Stopped asking as it definately irritated people.

BTW Mine is ok on a 90+ day, but not a testicle nummerbiggrin
