Hi peeps.. Called the rac out to recover the car to a ford specialist. the recovery vehicle broke down..a mechanic came out to him.. couldnt fix the recovery lorry.had to send another one out..got to my destination and parked her up for tomorrows diagnosis.. While i was there they were working on a ford capri with a 4.2 rover v8 in it and it had room around the sides..he said the biggest hes seen in them is a 6.6 v8.. so a rover 4.2 will fit in mine.. some food for thought..hopefully ill be able to drive it soon... hurry up...

Capri has a very wide engine bay (compare to say, Cortina 3-5), mainly because of its McPherson strut suspension rather than the TVR/Cortina wishbone-derived type.

TVRLeigh is probably the best guy to ask about putting a RV8 into a V6 Wedge. smile. All the RV8s are the same width, it's getting a decent set of manifolds in that can be the limiting factor.

Big block 454 cu.in Capri.....now you're talking. eek
