Have a set of AVO's on the rear, and MOT flagged up that one is leaking.
I suppose the smart thing to do is replace both ?
Avo advertising them at £110....not sure if that is a pair or each !!
Lots of talk on previous pages about steve heath coil overs (but the site direction is poor and i am struggling to see or select for my series one 350).
Gaz are in favour by some, and protech by others....any thoughts ????

Poly bushes,....some don't like em in prev posts. Again any thoughts ??? (and can anyone confirm they are Cortina MK 4/5)

Thanks you helpful bunch

N.B.
Took her out (no mot, so hidey hidey)for a spin yesterday, and she don't half pull !!!
Has a fast road cam and (according to my mate who knows such things) you can tell.
She hunts, and wants constant throttling thru the gears, does not like to hang around, and long after most are out of revs, she is begging for more toe !!!
I am as excited as an excited man in excitesville, on the top shelf of excited !!!
Needs one or two things for MOT (brakes, bushes, rack gaiters, emissions, shock and 1 or 2 others, and then just in time for the snow !!!!!!!!!
And for the welsh boys....was at the Rolls of monmothshire and celtic manor last week.....and loved the area, it is SO on my list of TVR trips. You have a lovely country there lads !!

I would always replace shocks in pairs to be sure that they're matched in terms of performance.

Steve Heath doesn't do the coil-over set anymore as people had trouble getting them to fit and they required chassis mods on the front.

I've got adjustable Gaz shocks all round and they're fine. Others have Avo's etc. and are happy with them also.

They're probably going to be £100+ EACH by the way.

100 GBP sounds about right per shock for the AVOs. I have them on my US spec 280i and have been very pleased with them.

Right then, spoke to a very nice chap at AVO today, reckons he will refurb leaking one for around £40 including Vodka and postage ! Shazam.
Told me it probably had damage (stone chip) to the "shaft" and seals damaged running over it.....and guess what, it has!!!
£40 is easier on the old bankee balancer, so off she goes to darkest Northampton !!

Re; bushes, spoke to supaflex today, and for the four upper wishbone insides i need, circa £140 by the time i'm done.....OUCH !!
Tried Midnight Motors for standards (cawteena Mk 4/5) and they said they are discontinued !!
MM are a pretty good factors, so i wonder if its Poly's or Bust !!!

Gonna try RT tomorrow, and Steve Heath is currently "out of the office"

Any other ideas ??

Richard Thorpe put new suspension and bushes all round for me on my old 280, and he does stock the right ones (bushes) for posting out.
