350i C259 OUY - Are you still out there?
Discussion
Hi
Just wondering if she's still alive? I sold her a few years ago and have (sort of) fond memories of her, but more importantly, I found a thick file of old service history in my loft recently (we moved house, it got mis-filed), and thought it and the car should be reunited.
Anyone know where she is? I sold her in Reading. She was dark blue on top, brown underneath (respray...) tan interior. Went like the clappers, but then you all know that!
Cheers, Craig

Hi
Was still alive ish in feb 2010!
Because I am a bit sad, I keep an eye on ebay wedge sales and I think that car was sold as a non runner in feb 2010, Car reg date 2/9/85. Is that the one?

Sad that she wasn't running. Do you know what was wrong?
It would be great to find the new owner now - I originally posted with little hope but now I feel there's a good chance!
As thats the car, it sold on ebay as a non runner for £1700 feb 2010. It was listed as needing a complete exhaust, radiator and lights needed fitting been off the road for a year or two, in bits needed putting together. Miles on clock listed as 71,000 miles. 13 Previous owners, and the colour looked Blue!, the seller was in Berkshire and the buyer was in Lincolnshire who left feedback as pleased with purchased.
Told you I was sad looking at wedge listings on ebay.
Craig, I will message you with buyer and seller names on ebay so you make contact if you wish.

Yes she is still out here.....
I bought her as a project barn find from a man with a garage full of barn find projects which he said he was letting some of them go.
This was meant to be a tinkering project in my retirement but it has turned into a full blown ground up rebuild.
She was converted in to Weber carb but came with EFI stuff in passenger seat. Covered in grime and light blue residue. Interior filthy and marked and rusted. Rear brakes siezed. 81k miles. Love at first sight !
Currently she is sitting in my garage in two parts, bodyshell in one side and chassis in other with various bit lying around.
More or less she is fully apart now with sand blasting and rust protection and painting to be done next. The interior is quite sad mainly due to mice (3 years unattended in guys barn/garage) but also because I have ripped out the carpets to get at the rusty bits lying in piles inside.
It has taken a year to get to this stage because life gets in the way of pleasurable hobbies, but hopefully lots more work will happen soon.
She is now called Christine (after Stephen Kings horror car) because she spat flames 6 ft long out of the side exhausts just where my wife was standing before I moved her to safety!
I could send pictures but she's a bit sad at the moment and it might upset you.

Hey its not just you - my hobby too ! I have a bit of a Wedge history project on-going around digging up old threads on here and trying to find where the cars are now ... couple of really interesting historic cars that have gone missing ...
