That's one hell of an offset compared to the standard of 23 IIRC. Sure you don't mean 4.5" PCD?

The early Cars was a lot narrower and have problem's with 15" 400SE wheels and 16" Tuscan will stick out of the arches. I've tried as wanted to run them on the racer.

Leith why not bond on some escort mk1 bubble or mk2 forest arches, this would look a different and allow you to run the tuscan wheels.
Would be an intersting look...

Here in the states you can get Voxx MG3s which come in an offset which is just 2-3mm further out then stock. I bought the 16" Voxx MGs when I got my car and have been quite happy with them. Other options here looked like they belonged on well a 5000 pound Mercedes. These look plenty modern but also fit the lines of the car rather nicely. Best part is I got mine on close out for less than $400 shipped with lug nuts. Mine came from www.discounttire.com

A pic of the wheels can be viewed at http://s185.photobucket.com/albums/x203/benebob/TV... pic 25 shows them the best

16" Wheels are not a problem, as I'm running 16" wheel on the racer, but the tuscan wheels are 9" wide.

If I was going to enlarge the arches I'd bond on a 400SE rear end. that way it would stay TVR, esp as some series require the shame to remain original, I would also have to re-design the bonnet bulge also.

But this year my aim was just to get out there and race, and the main rebuild took longer than expected.

Leigh - I think when Tony Bradfield put wider wheels on his 350i sprinter, he just extended the arches by forming some lengths of foam pipe insulation and fibreglassing over the top! Looks professional and never troubled the sprinting scrutineers.
