I can't believe it but it now runs!! At about midnight last night, dad and I finished putting it all back together and she started! Hoping to go for a good blast this weekend but first will be a good clean! I have still got all the le mans dirt inside and out!!

So, I can only think that I had 3 things which had gone wrong and hence why it was intermittent and a nightmare to trace!

1) sticking injectors
2) bent valve which was sometimes seating and sometimes not!!
3)broken inner valve spring

I did also find a burnt diode in the pektron steering module which is fixed now but who knows what it did!!!

All I know is that I am owed a good drive! Yippee!!

Now all I need to do I go for a test drive!!

Take some tools and cable ties etc with you just in case, I feel naked without them.

Bent valve too? Probably some bad valve bounce because of the broken spring let the valve hit the piston?
