Sounds promising if chassis is good.
I wonder if the engine bay has been steam cleaned...looks excellent.

The wheels look to be wider than standard, maybe 8J, and all seems present and correct.

Definitely worth a look. smile

That does look in remarkably good, unmolested (unlike minenuts) condition, looks like it would make a great car with a little fettling.

where are the stripes and decals?

are these really wedge seats? they look like chimaera ones. also the alloys look like non original ones, but hard to see on these pictures. no period radio. mirrors missing.

should the bumpers not been painted in a differnt color? (same color as the missing stripes)

if the chassis is good...than there is less to complain.

but there are people at the beginning of this thread who seem to praise the condition into the skies...thats why i replied with my concerns...nothing more.

also not to forget:

"The main thing this vehicle requires is someone to work through the electrics and source all the earths and clean them as hardly anything electrical works."

if its such a simple job...why the seller isnt doing it?

also paintwork is flat...common with metallic paintwork...so evtl. (partially) respray necessary...ok, or using it as it is.

but lets calculate:

respray, plus solving electrical problems, plus unkonwn chassis, sorting all the problems which accured because of longterm storage (brakes, perished rubbers, suspension, shocks, new tyres, maybe exhaust, k-jetronic problems as it normally does not like to be put into storage such a long time, plus all the time involved to solve these problems?) you will end at what price than? so what price is the car finally worth?

It's a fair point - a lot of cars have been "pulled about" and "improved" by various owners over the years, sometimes with various bits of bling and, let's face it, tat installed.

I think the Wedge is vintage enough for "original" cars to be worth something in their own right to some punters, and there may be two markets emerging, original and unspoiled, versus restored and improved. It's hard to say how the prices are going (still down?) but I thing the next few years will show which type of car is preferable.
