Question for you FI experts, the return hose from the fuel pressure regulator goes into the top of the left hand tank, apart from when the tank is full it generally returns into an open space. Now, I have fitted a third tank higher up in the car's boot and teed it into the other two but when the third tank is full there will be an addition head of pressure putting back pressure onto the return, OK not a great deal of pressure, only 2 psi or so but will this affect the FPR return and the FI system?
Many thanks
Hamish
PS Third tank is to increase range for a comp

Have you moved the breather pipe or is this still higher than the 3rd tank.
The pressure from the FPR would still be 10+ PSI so would not think it would matter, but I'm no FI expert

No but it is still higher that the breather pipe, just a small tank across the boot shelf giving us an extra 5 odd gallons, we are going for a one stop strategy laugh

OK so I see from your profile you're running a V8. If you have an extra foot or so of head that's only 1/30th atmos, or 1/2 a PSI. Under the radar, so to speak.

I would be more worried about when it's all full and any siphoning out of the breather pipe, dumping the fuel onto the road.
