"The car was originally fitted with a 5L engine but this gave me more trouble than I could stand so has now been converted back to it's original 3.5L V8 which runs lovely."

easy as it is: the seller wanted to drive a TVR, but doesnt have the funds nor the skills to do so, also his local garage may had problems to service the 5L in a correct way, TVR specialists also may have been too far away or money for these specialists couldnt been afforded.

if it wouldnt have to do with money the actual owner should still have the 5L engine. i doubt he has. anybody asked him about this matter already?

It's a Rover V8. Just about any Thomas, Richard or Harold, of the mechanical variety, could service it.

Strange set-up, having a flapper 5.0 and carbon plenum, but using some LR plumbing.

Always makes me laugh how all these supposed dog's-boolox engines have the usual smeggy bits thrown back on. I mean, if you've blown your wad on a 5L conversion, is the few extra shekels for some lacquered rocker covers so hard to find?
