Hello peeps..got a call from the guys that have made the downpipe and its on its way to garage..spoke to garage and everything is done..Now this is what has been done..Changed fuel metering head and WUR.. 2xnew injectors..removed fuel tanks.cleaned one, cleaned and checked fuel pump and filter..put it all back together with new pipe..trailing arm pins and bushes..tie arm bushes..chopped and refit exhaust(whole system)..checked and adjusted rockers..replaced water pump, thermostat and gasket..flush and refill coolant..reverse switch fixed..checked and sorted heater..although it only works on up or down on the controls:-)..replaced hood rear fixings with threaded rivets and screws..right i believe thats it, I might of missed something but for all that it comes to £800.. The parts have cost as follows(seperate from garage bill)..Downpipe £115..Trailing arm pins £117..Cherry bomb mid silencers £70..Fuel tank (almost new) £70.
I will definately take it there again..service etc..The trouble is i only had a grand put aside and where i didnt anticipate parts (like a numpty) im a little short..wah..Should have her back monday or tues depending when downpipe arrives..cheers..mark.

Great... just try to avoid spinning off a roundabout and clouting a lamp-post on the way home. It has happened wink

Sounds like the garage have been quite reasonable, that is a lot of work!

In my experience with old cars, when you set yourself what you think is a realistic budget, double it, add a bit more and that is usually about right!

Now go and have some fun! smile
