T5 Gearbox in a Wedge
Discussion
I have just been looking into this as not sure whether to replace my broken box with a rebuilt LT77 or a T5 ???
T5 is rated for more horses and has easier to get parts i beleive and after searching there seems to be a part that mates it to the rover v8 but then you probably have that already dont you ??
Hope you let us know what you find out and let us know if you sell the box via the classifieds as may be interested depending on mileage etc .....
Regards

I'm having a T5 installed in mine (to deal with the extra torque of the modified cosworth it will have when finished).
It wnet in ok, but needed a modified bell housing and propshaft to fit. The gearlever itself will sit a little further back than before as well (haven't seen that bit yet so can't say just how far).
Hope that helps!

Is the speedo drive different too?
Yep totally incompatible. The gear lever position will depend on which T5 you have.
For a Cosworth engine, less of an issue. For a Rover V8, it is a major expence...
