4ltr Chim Engine & Gearbox In A Wedge
Discussion
Yes but expect everything in the engine bay to be changed if the engine is a serp as connector sizes and positions are all different.
The other problem is that the Chimp T5 remote is in the wrong position so the gear lever will be about 6 inches IN FRONT of the current position. You will need a new propshaft and will also address the speedo problem.
The only T5 that fits is from a Sierra Cosworth and these tend to be the non-world class boxes which are not quite as strong as the world class ones that TVR tended to use.

Wouln't it be better to strip off all the bits from your current wedge engine, such as throttle pot, injectors (if different) etc etc, and put the engine in with all the wedge bits, using the original wiring harness?
Why are you thinking of using the cats etc? Just use the existing Wedge exhaust. Sounds better too ;^)
Finally with the remote lever as Steve says is about 6" too far forward. On the LT77 box the lever is shifter by being cut and a dog-leg welded into it (if I recall corectly). Can the same cut-and-shut technique be used with the T5 lever, or is 6" shift a step too far?

Yes, 'brummmie' (of 6.9 litre LS3 Cerb fame) converted my 400SE.
Pre-serp engine though, with LT77 gearbox, later upgraded to Griff 500 clutch.
Chuck the cats away...not needed, use Wedge exhaust system cos it fits, use ECU that come with the 'new' engine, but change tune resistor to non-cat one.
My car gave me no problems whatsoever, apart from a wheel coming off at 90mph.
