I have just SORN'd the 400 for the winter. Never taken a car off the road before so will no doubt be sulking on the occasional crisp sunny winter days. grumpy

Anyway, the plan is to raise the body and renew the flat body mounts on the outriggers. I have had a real good look around underneath while on a four poster and these seem the only rotten parts. Hopefully the lift won't show any more tinworm infestation.
I have had a google around and nothing jumps out at me saying 'this is the stuff'. So can anyone point me in the direction of where to source this rubber matting that goes between the chassis and body. I read on one thread that a selection of 3mm and 6mm was used but no mention of what or where from.

Any suggestions ??

Also going to fit new carpet while its laid up. Still haven't decided on the colour yet though

Just a word of caution re the SORN, have you informed your insurance company and also will your MOT lapse, I would suggest that you check the small print on the policy as I had a bit of a battle after my old 400 was off the road and suffered damage through no fault of my own !!! still fighting it and it will be a year in December !!
Hope the rework goes well

Hoping to get the 'shell off my 390 this winter, main holdup at the moment is finding a second electric hoist! The workshop has an RSJ running along it with hoist trolleys; I can winch the shell up and shift it to one end while I crack on with the chassis. Well that's the theory anyway... so I'll be needing new packing and all those myriad other fixtures and fittings that you don't notice until they drop off in your hand...

Never entered my head to inform Ins Co, but seeing as the MoT will run out soon while it's garaged up I guess that's the thing to do.

Going to polish the wheels up too while they are off. They will be living in the spare bedroom so will have to be clean.
I only have a single garage, although it is wide there is not loads of room so snaking around may be the answer.

Thanks for the info so far, probably will take lots of pics and post them up
