I'm gonna be starting her up tomorrow after a couple of months lay-up.Has anyone got some tips for minimising engine wear..? I was going to take fuse out for fuel pump/disconnect alternator and turn it over for a bit to get the oil moving but are there any other things I should be doing?

Can't wait for that noise again!

Update - Started it up today after turning it over for about 3-4 secs on no fuel/ignition. No problems. Oil pressure straight away and its sounds fantastic. Oh yes, I bet the neighbours are chuffed i've got it going again. Can't wait to take it for a spin once insurance sorted

My sisters up from Birmingham so could be difficult
Damn, looks like there could be a big turn out as well.

Unless, my sister fancies a trip to Bolton Abbey.... All in the name of culture of course.
