I paid £309 from auto windscreens in 8/02.So shop around.

Watch them put it in, and make sure they have suitable trim. The stuff they put on mine first of all was way too big, so made them order the proper stuff from TVR, and change it.

P.S just bought a brand new (still wrapped with stickers on) sundym screen for my Taimar for £38 on EBay. not bad Eh?

Nice one, thanks. I think that and the trim are the risk areas.

Cheers, Doug.

RAC windscreens quoted me about £350, said the cost was normaly £500 for a screen. but they used the proper tinted screen for the job

Got two hugely different quotes between auto windscreens and rac

The one who got the job used the tinted screen and did a god job - they too struggled with the trim

Got my windscreen replaced for £60.00 through my insurance company. Most policies have windscreen replacement cover which does not effect bonus etc. You jsut pay the excess.
