Oooooo, rain........ just about passes as a let off from the lid police......
Was it heavy, the rain?
On a side note I did see an MX5 on day on the Mway with the roof off, the rain was absolutely hammering down to the point that the traffic was slowing up as we could not see. You know, rain was bouncing back up off the road type heavy. Hats of to the fella I thought, then noticed the wind surfer sticking way out of the car. There was no way in hell he could put the lid up.

Putting the roof on just generates bad karma man.
Washed mine a few weeks ago, and put it back in the garage with the roof on.
Then the remote fobs for the alarm / central locking started playing up. So I encoded the second channel of my garage door remotes to operate the alarm.
Didn't realise that the first channel also operated the alarm system...
Came back to it last week and the bloddy battery was flat.
Couldn't get in through the drivers door (lock has never worked, that's why I fitted CL) and the passenger door was too close to the garage boor for a pie eater like me to get in....
In the end I managed to get a charger connected to the battery and left it for half an hour until the blipper started working again.
Moral of the story. Never put the frigging roof up!!

Jeff , interesting you should see that , I have noticed one or two of said Mx5's with roofs down locally in last few days , some are driven by girls with long blond hair , possible medals need presenting to such folk ?
