Just passed a matrix sign this frosty morning on the M11:

"IS YOUR VEHICLE
READY FOR WINTER?"

... to which I had to give a big thumbs up through the
open space where the roof should be!

Made my day anyway....

I scraped ice off the inside of my windscreen this morning, joy!

It probably won't be long before I'm scraping ice off the seats!

Yep. Antifreeze checked to minus sommit or another when I was putting the pipes back the other day. Wheels, all four there and round. Nut on the end of the wheel in good working order.

Actually, thinking about it I have prepared, and by coincidence it was this morning too...

Rag stuffed up passenger side footwell air vent (so my feet keep toasty warm)

Wish i thought of that before i went on a 100mile run this morning. The warmest it got was 2deg C on the car external temp gage. Also forgot to take my phone but the car ran goodband liked sucking in all that cold air, roof off all the way on some realy nice roads ive never been on before.
The ice rivers flowing over the road made good speed bumps, even managed to take a few pics.
Just need a nice weekend to clean the car again.
Nothing fancy done to the car for winter, kust the way its driven.

A couple of years back at a Sunday Service, met up with a few Kent Runners on a cold Feb morning at 7am to convoy there. It was -5...

I took the roof off for the run (of course!) and was having to scrape off the ice that was forming on the INSIDE of the windscreen as I tried to keep up with the Lotus's down the M20 driving

Happy days...

Hi Rick.

That doesn't surprise me too much, the heaters aren't great are they!

I bought mine in February, just after the worst of the weather last winter, so this will be my first full cold season, and it's still my only car.

Just bought some leather driving gloves on Ebay! biggrin

I used to know the guy who owned that 911 too.

Yip,
TVR just got a full detail, oil change, tank filled, stabil added, tires filled to 35psi, parked in the garage, tender installed and covered. Hippo Hands installed on the bike, XJR winter tires/wheels cleaned and waxed waiting for Friday's appointment at the tire shop (they need balanced). Chance of snow/sleet/rain Friday night.
