Hi peeps..Although the car is running now i still think some things are not right..I have been using it on the odd bright day but on initial start up it starts but with no choke..Its ticking over at 900rpm from cold to warm..Ive clamped the auxillary air device and nothing happens...When its at normal operating temperature and ive got out to go to shop and got back in it wants to start but dies and i have to keep the key turned with my foot flat to the floor..Would anyone know if its the Thermotime switch,WUR,Cold start valve,AAD,Pressure regulator or anything else..Its going in tomorrow for the petrol leak to be fixed and maybe that might be hindering the pressure?..I do have a spare WUR which was taken off and replaced,Is it worth trying to get it refurbed just in case its that?..Your expert opinions are highly valued...Many thanks..Zig

Sounds like the AAD is stuck closed. It'd normally start off open, giving increased airflow to go with the increased fuel supplied by the warm-up reg, then gradually close to bring the revs down. If it's open you can see through it: there's a thin blade with a funny-shaped slot in it. If you can't see any slot, it's stuck shut.

Cheers wedg1e,,You the man..I did actually find one in the boot when i bought it, I did clean it then warmed it up with a heat gun and it did close so i put it on in place of the one that was on it..I did the same to that one..I think i should put that one back on..Cheers mate..mark

Spot on mate..Put the old one back in and started her up..straight in at 1500rpm warming to a purring 900..Zig
