Petrol leak sorted..At last

Hi chaps..put the car back in the ford garage earlier and he has sorted my fuel leak..Replaced all the 2" pipe,Filler neck and centre join,seal with petrol sealant..Adjusted handbrake although i might need rear wheel cylinders,,Stopped the expansion tank from flooding over (blocked by a smal piece of rubber?)Replaced the fuel sender..All for £50..Pick her up in the morning..Lovely chubly..

Hopefully you'll be driving soon then without a hitch,take a trip to Reading if you fancy for a cuppa so we can compare rumbles.John

Got car back and cant smell any petrol although he hasnt put the filler cap end on properly and the fuel cap cover doesnt shut flush..Im not gonna touch it though and the expansion tank is still playing up a little..Theres no blockage..temps good..thermostat opens when it should..the core temp of the rad is ok..but on the way home i saw some steam coming out..The level is ok,Maybe there was a little too much water in there and its just getting rid of excess..fingers crossed and yep wooly i might just take a drive out for a cuppa rosey..Will have to keep an eye on weather as they reckon there is more snow on the way....Cheers zig
