Does anyone know what door handles a 400SE uses? It could be that I need to get a new pair (inc keys)

Excellent, many thanks for that. I'll drop them an e mail. Need to find out if the lock barrel is separate which I assume it is?

yes Ford didn't change things if they could get away with it biggrin

Strictly speaking of course the later handles had TVR logos cast/machined into them and they were satin black, not chrome...

This is true. biggrin

Oh, and the 4 and 5 Cortys were only re-bodied 3s, but I can tell you that there were slight differences on the upper front crossmember lugs between them rolleyes...after a bit of swappery I once did.

It just meant the Essex 3 litre sat a bit lower. biggrin

Yep, I think that the rear answer for the OP's cars is TVR only.

I currently have satin black door handles but not stamped/cast with the TVR logo. I know the ones you mean. All i need really is the lock mechanism and keys if they are interchangable in the handles.

I don't know. I would however be surprised if a Capri lock mechanism didn't fit perfectly.

It wasn't just a Ford problem, I used to be able to start my Spitfire with a 1/2p coin!
