please excuse my ignorance and dont laugh but what exactly are the shims for between the diff and the driveshaft, i presume they are a spacer of some sort but what exactly are they for, how many do you need ( is there a standard amount) do all wedges have the same amount, how are they set up, do you need them at all and can you use different sizes or are they standard, some help on this would be great and i expect a few jokes and a bit of p--- taking, but this wedge thing is a steep learning curve.

For adjusting the camber of the rear wheels. More you put in, the more the top of the wheel leans outwards, fewer and it leans inwards. You need as many as required to get your wheels aligned correctly! Sorry, but it varies depending on suspension setup
