A friend just mailed me this and thought of you guys for the el-cheapo 30 minute support race:

"If you are not already aware, there is a six hour race for pre 1989 cars at Snetterton on April 30th!

This is meant as an alternative for those that cannot race the Spa six hours due to having unsuitable or non FIA cars although those with them will be welcome to enter.

There is also a 30 minute support race for sports racers and GT cars, replica or genuine, the more the merrier.

This day is meant as a fun event, excellent value at around £1K for the 6 Hour and £175 for the 30 minute race, friendliness and camaraderie is the theme of the day.

If you know of anyone who may be interested would you be kind enough to pass details on.

More information can be found here. http://360mrc.com/

and here http://360mrc.com/news/360-adds-wedding-breakfast-... for the 30 minute race."

I'm going to be doing the 6 hours but as part of a friends team.

Graham may be up for renting out his Tasmin, if there are a few of you who what to club together, you will need a race licence and race suit etc, but the ARDS test is not that difficult.

Hoping to do this one too. Just got to test the car at Oulton on the 29th of March and if all is well and there is room on the grid I'll be booking it.

As the 400SX was registered in 1989 I suppose that rules me out...

Scott and I managed to get a wheel off the ground at Snetterton in my '84 350i. It's a great circuit.
Embarrassed a couple of modern TVR's too. hehe

Thanks Jeff. There's some way to go to get the car back to that condition at the moment. And a quite a bit further to make the cockpit nice too for the next owner. I'll have to sell her this year to pay for my wedding. weeping

Sure was fun burning the petrol at Snetterton though. Highly recommended.

DFC?

Must say I'd always have a cage in an opentop job (just never got round to it in the last one) on road or especially track smile

Having once somersaulted one of my Lotus 7s over a hedge at 70mph, I agree 100%.

Only reason I'm still here. smile
