Due to recent health issues I have regrettably place my 400SE up for sale.

It's in the much improved condition now because of the help I have experienced through this site. Thanks to all those who have endured my many questions and provided much welcome advice and encouragement.
Regards, Mike

Sorry to hear that Mike; however you can reassure the wife that all is not doom and gloom... my dad had a heart attack at 51 (37 years of smoking probably didn't help) and went on for another 17 years doing pretty well whatever he wanted to (apart from fell-walking)... he just had to take things a bit slower. He used to work for my boss part-time, crawling over pipelines carrying inspection kit until he was 65
Did all his own car repairs until he had to admit defeat with a Renault front strut; fabricated a new pair of steel garage doors when he was retired; refitted the bathroom and kitchen.... it all just took a bit longer.

Thanks for the thoughts, but I've been pushing too hard business and vehicle-wise for the last seven years since a quadruple heart by-pass and I may have to have another procedure soon as well so just need to back off for a while and build back up then in the words of Arnie............

Yeah I could have asked more I suppose, and I have now, a little. I've done a lot of work on it. The parts list cannot show the countless hours stripping and rebuilding the wheels (how many bolts??!!), preparation, £'s spent in the local accessory shop etc and the numerous other items and minor repairs which have soaked up the hours in my spare time. Still at it today! Like many I'm not in the position of just paying someone else to do the work and sitting back. But anyone who buys it will still have a few jobs to do cosmetically and I'm not budging on price even though I want a quick sale.
So come on all you budding Wedger's. Pick up the phone

Thanks Paul. I'll try and keep it down South, but no promises, Northern money just as good as this end of the country you know! lol Yeah it is a shame and I'm pig-sick really. Tough option and still struggling with the decision a bit, but as with any older car they are always 'work in progress' and that's where I'm struggling.
Hey, it's got to sell yet and there's still Chatsworth, Goodwood, etc so you'll still have to put up with me
