Mine is a MkII Escort resprayed venitian red named Eddie. Ford x-flow rebored to 1680cc stage 2 head, k+n 2" swift motorsport exhaust, wolfrace alloys (like the ones on starsky + hutch's car) and a big ford oval sticker on the bonnet made loads of noise and no go but loved it like a brother. Still owned it up till 5 years ago when i had to make space in the garage for the wedge. Sold it on ebay to a guy who restores MKII's for rally purposes, but he said metal worm had had a field day on the chassis. Didnt realise at the time but when i got the motor home the registration read JEF 253W personalised and i didnt even see it when buying LOL.

Probably not the Lotus Esprit, surprisingly. It'd have to be the French battlecruiser, the Renault 25GTX.

I couldn't afford a real seven so I had to build this. Wish I still had it.

i had a 3 litre s capri great car apart from it didnt like corners, but my othere wedge was the best, a TR7 converted to rv8 it was lightened, balanced, stage 2 heads running twin su carbs and k&n filters with a low ratio axle and straight through box it went like s**t off a shovel but was out of steam at 120.made my 350i sound quiet and sluggish off the mark.

Has to be the car I park next to the Wedge in the garage every night....the mighty 4.5 Cerbera Red Rose.

Two totally different beasts....The cerb is so ferociously powerfull but the soundtrack on the 450SE is just sensational. Just can't get enough of that deep growl!

several come close (to each other, not to the 450SE) so I'd have to choose between Capri 2.8i, 170bhp Renault 5 Turbo, Saab 900S and current ZT260...
I'd probably go for the MG..

Well I love my current Jag XJR8, but the car I have had most fun in, and so my favourite, would be one of my first cars 20 odd years ago which was a T reg Opel Manta SR Berlinetta. Only a 2 ltr but at least it was rwd and sounded great with a twin Janspeed exhaust fitted.

Mustn't forget the Essex V6 3 litre Cortina that I 'created'. smile
Stripped her to the bare shell and then built her back up into what was a comfy Q-car in its day, that handled too.
Only wish I'd taken some pics during my 6 months hard graft. irked

I've owned over 40 cars but the Wedge is the best sounding car I've had. The one car I shouldn't have sold in the last few years was my 3.2 Vectra GSi. 222bhp and easily averaged 25mpg. It had a K+N induction kit and sounded almost as good as the TVR.
