Boy, you like red
I've decided on getting my discs black zinc's:

Compared plain (which will rust outside of the brake pad area) black, silver and gold.
My guys have tried both gold/silver passivated to nickel plating over the years and the latter seems to offer superior longer term corrosion protection. So after grit blasting all my steel components I think I'll go for this.
I have ali hubs and not sure what to do here as I'm informed nickel plating on castings can turn out wishy washy. Polishing's no good as no one will see it and I'd have to keep polishing it.
I note in one of the above images the engine pulleys are painted! Are they steel on your car?
Mine are all ali - so I've had them polished and they look a million dollars.
Keep the pictures coming.
