Hi all.Just purchased a new exhaust system for my 350i S2 a frame 1986.My question is do you have to remove rear bumper to fit the rear of the system .Had to cut the old system out so not sure. Thanks Mike

I'd have thought there would be 2 or 3 inches back and forwards movement, after you've (first) inserted the tailpipe through the hole in the bumper, then probably put the centre part in last ?

I made the small piece of the body below the exit removable as I didn't want to touch the exhaust while doing some work on the A-frames back then. As mentioned before there must be a way during installation of the exhaust, but can't help you on that.

Installed a stainless exhaust last year and the removable part came in handy...
This solution probably is not to everyone's liking, but I am not bothered about that as I just want to drive the wedge.

Mine's an 86 A frame S2 and I put the exhaust on last week; if you take the exhaust finishers off the tailpipes you can get it all on/off without touching the bumper. It's tight getting it past the spring though, and seeing as all wedges seem to be slightly different you may have a different experience to me!
