Went to put the car back in the garage tonight and the electric window goes down but wouldn't go back up. Wiggled the switch a bit and it worked...briefly.

So the question is, can the switch be taken apart and contacts cleaned or is it just a case of a new one?

Look forward to any info.

Cheers, David

Its extremely difficult to repair the switches, the plastic gets brittle and the switch contacts get permanently pitted and damaged. If you can get the plastic parted you may get some life back if you can squirt some servicsol (specialist contact cleaner) onto the contacts. But, err on the side of caution and be prepared to source a new switch.

Thanks. Usual question then. What is it from and where can I get one??

TVR car parts I think have some, or rather they had the heater switch when I asked so assume those are there, best bell them. Or rimmer brothers if you can identify the switch.

Also, swap it out with the passenger side for now and ban anyone from playing with it.
