After its winter lay off (September) and all the work I have done, it passed the MoT today with flying colours. Didn't even need to adjust the headlight beam after having a last minute fiddle last night. So road tax next week and its all legal for the road again.
Just as a reminder to anyone interested
1. New outriggers
2. New front bushes, top and bottom arm/tie bar
3. New adjustable front AVO coilovers with strengthened bottom arm/top mount
4. New Steering column bearing
5. New carpets (decided on creamy type colour, £19sqm, mrs tt wasn't impressed)
6. Renovated seats, dash and door cards
7. Fixed fibre optics for switches (that sounds real clever but it was just a new bulb in the housing unit)
8. Flush and renew brake and clutch fluid
Was probably a little concerned about the front suspension being too stiff, but first time out on the road and apart from the tracking that needs done, it felt really planted and secure. (slight detour for fuel on the way to MoT shop) Maybe I will back off the rebound slightly, it is on click 8 so will come down to 5.
Weekend will see oil/filter change, gearbox and diff oil and that's it.
don't really need an excuse for posting pics, but thanks for giving me one anyway mr z

Still got some over mats to finish with same colour binding and heel guards for the foot wells. I used the leather binding material to cover the door inserts, as the veneer was starting to flake off them.
I thought it looked good enough not to have any binding on the rear shelf area, or I should say mrs tt said it doesn't need it

You live in the North (dont now which part), are you not coming for a run out Sat/Sunday with the BAR lot in a couple of weeks time ?
It would be good to see the mods you have done

I live almost as far north in England as you can get, 40 miles from the scottish border on the west coast. Workington is my nearest biggish town. Not sure who the BAR lot are but it sounds not close enough to me. Will be very interested in seeing your seats

The photos don't really do justice to just how good the seats and dash have turned out. 100% pleased with the renovation kit
Bloody Workington, I've been over there today... 5 hours driving and 8 hours on site in that crumbling hole that resembles what's left of our steel industry.
Back over that way tomorrow (or rather today now); I'll be the one towing a trailer full of dead x-ray equipment somewhere near Egremont...

Egremont is 6 miles from me. That's my home town where I grew up, used to be 'the place' to be when I was younger. Like a lot of towns now though, totally spoiled by local councils trying to improve things. The main street was real wide and never any hold ups, but now all the time. Councils made it pedestrian friendly, do pedestrians really need 20ft wide footpath. From next week when the Tiv is road legal, mrs tt has promised me the weather is going to get warmer and more wedge like. So then I will be quite happy to buzz around and maybe meet up with peeps.
may even have a run over to the BAR guys.
It be nice to go somewhere with a target instead of just pootling around and back again

Cambelt is travelling over from the west borders way on the Saturday, you could possibly hook up with him, he is only visiting for the day so you would also have someone to blast back with.
Enjoy your wedge

Sure enough, trying to find somewhere to park a Mitsu Warrior with a twin-axle trailer was a bit of a chew
You might be somewhere near Gosforth then? Been that way many times on the way to my favourite lake (although it's actually a Water

And as for 6 metres, yeah right, 'cos campsites burn down all the time. Completely killed the atmosphere, w
kers.A friend of mine was born in Egremont, she remembers when the Royal Navy divers fished some old aircraft engines out of the lake as an exercise. We went back in about 1988 to see if they were still there, but the gyppos had long had them away. However I found it a fantastic spot and go back whenever I can.

Hi MartinFurgie
Ya telling me, wifey thinks I am retired cos nearly every time she comes home from work, I am in the garage.
Just got the rotary polisher out today, started on the body work to de-swirl, polish, glaze and wax. Pleased so far having done half the bonnet.
Only noticeable how much swirling there is once one side is done for comparison
