i have come across this lot: Pristine Alloy Wheel Refurbishers Ltd
, based in MK.
They recon they can repair my dinged alloys at £35-£40 a pop.
However prices on ebay for Ford cross-spokes are around that I suppose, but mine would look like new when they came back.
Any experiences with this lot?

Not with them unfortunately but it seems a hell of a lot of the tyre/alloy centres up and down the country send their clients wheels off to this lot here who charge similar if not same money..

Hi Adam,

I visited Pristine, and they have the equipment there to do the wheels on site. Total cost was £230 for four wheels. They will TIG any dents, media blast them, turn them and powder coat them. (They have samples in thier shed/office so you can pick your coating). I'd give them 9/10 for effort.
(They don't get 10/10 as they are soo expensive)

They have an agent in Cambridge, who will charge an extra £20 for taking them to Pristine, and bringing them back, which in hindsight I should have done.

If you wanna save cash though, Granada 15" RS wheels are selling on eBay for peanuts. I recently saw a brand bew pair in thier FORD boxes sell for £7.50, so worth keeping an eye out. (The RS ones look just like the TVR/Ceres/MSW cross spokes, but with a little disc to hide the wheel nuts. I think the Granny RS wheels would be 6.5J x 36mmET which would be kinder to the wheel bearings than the TVR 7Jx23mmET but will they clear the body? - Who knows...

Oh, the CO tester was handy ta much!

Oh yeah, they quoted me £37 each too, and then added £12.50 onto each for repairs, and then VAT which comes to £58.20, so not really anywhere like £35.

Used them just over 2 years ago, as they were fairly local and similar prices to others I could find.

Result? You bet Incredibly drab looking (but no damage) non-TVR cross spoke alloys, but looked a million dollars coming out.

Tyre place next door very competitive if you don't have trade connections.
