Anybody have any idea how long it takes the DVLA to process it. I sent mine away ages ago.

What's a car history document and how do I get one?

Will it tell me who did the crap work on it that I am now having to undo at great time and cost?!

Just got to the DVLA website and download and print the document off (forgotton the name of the Doc Zig will be able to help you with this). Filled it in sent it away and hey presto everywhere the car has lived since it was born its like a birth certificate very good value for a £5 cheque.

Its a downloadable form or you can apply for one through the post from DVLA and it is called a V888 and you have to ask what you need to know and why..Cost £5.
http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Diol1/DoItOnline/Doito...
Then go to request for information and its the top form.(V888)..Can take up to 6 weeks sometimes. There is other info that you can find out provided it has MOT history...Good luck..Ziga
