Just got wedgie through its 2nd MOT since I've owned it, and only needed 2 bolts tightened to get it passed! Who said TVR's were expensive to run (Don't ask how much I spent on it since I got it though!)
I had it insured with Norton Insurance (Heritage) with laid up cover over the winter for £54. They said to give them a phone when I was ready to put it back on the road, and the insurance would be calculated as a portion of the quote I got last year.
That will be another £96 please she said! Result! Anyone have cheaper insurance than that?

Yes, sort of. Yours works out at £150 for the year for one car. My latest renewal for a 280 and 350 combined - £162, down £19 on last year. Both on agreed value cover, TVRCC track days (and others for a small additional premium) and what's best, without asking for it, they changed the cover from 5000 miles to unlimited mileage.

Aon, but I don't think they take new TVR business anymore. I've been with them for years.

Ralph

What company are you using ,as insuring two cars is an option I need when I pick up the 400 as still have the 350 and won't be selling just yet and probably want to use both - all be it on different days

Went through the ringing around bit recently. I was suprised at the high street prices for me (modded motor). Very good. Beat the usual suspects initially. Mind you, phone bill probably makes up for it

I use Aon. Not sure it will help though, as per my post above
