Hi Peeps..What a good day it has been..Beautiful weather..Went to see Andy..(Mr.T)..bit of a drive out but well worth it..Went to get a spare light pod motor but it turned out that mine still works..The pod motor was loose and the pod was a little bit seized..Mr T got his hands in there and sorted it and replaced a lens and bulb for me..The pods are doing a mexican wave but i can wind them up for the MOT..(Not the garage..The lights)..I will have to find the previous post on it unless anyone can advise..The pod got a good greasing and is 100% better..Also had my power steering leak fixed which was on the fitting on rack..Had a new seal fitted and the pipe re-newed..Thanks andy for helping and giving some of your knowledge..I now know how to take out the pods and motors..Ill shout you a couple of pints of vodka and orange next meeting..Had a look at the collection of very nice TVRs as well..Got a couple of snaps of Mr T in action..Once again cheers..Ziga

He is..Its a TVR maternity hospital cant you see..First pic..Inducing labour..second..waters have broken (you can see it all over the pod)..Then third a pod is born..It was only egg size when born but within half an hour had grown to full maturity..Very professional she didnt make a sound..and bonded very quickly..Hats off to mr T..

Cheers mate..Painted me bowls earlier and tried to get the motors to open and close together but still dont..Tried different relays and made no difference..Maybe its the diodes..Might have to get a new motor and refurb the other for a spare..Will have a go at taking the other pod off next week and give that the treatment the other had although there were some issues with bolts so i will have to see..

Will also try to get under there next week to clean all the muck off the chassis..and check the damage that the ford garage did by hoisting it up on an extendable arm lift..You can see some of it in the bottom pic..

If they are doing the Mexican wave, most probably you have one of two issues, either the adjustable pushrod from the cam on the end of the lift motor is set to long, or possibly to short, this tends to throw the lights out of phase, the other option is that the little cam on the motor, is loose (8mm nut I think) or the 'D' shaped hole on the end cam that fits the end of the motor spindle has worn and allows the motor to run past the lift apex point, easily solved by removal and squeezing/reshaping in a vice and then finishing with a small file.

Worth a look before you get into the realms of TVR electrickery!

Cheers for that bit of advice mate..I think you are nearer the cause as the pod isnt sitting as high as it should..Its about 2" lower than the other side..I might pop the lenses out and have a look at the differences in the two..Is there an easy way to adjust it or is it a matter of taking it off and re-fitting..Ziga

You'll never ever get the pods to move perfectly in synch as they're two separate systems: two motors, two lots of electrical inefficiencies, two lots of friction in pivots plus the misalignments as chedder says. Buy a Porsche if you want that sort of perfection (two pods on a common shaft, one motor) wink
