Hi
I am slowly working through the black wiring on my early S1 FHC.
I don't like what I see with regard to the indicator arm and windscreen wiper arm. Firstly the wiring is joined with good old choclate box connectors. The bracket which secures it to the steering coloum is broken.
Now I know I can proberly get a similar set from Rimmers, but I have a set already. Not enougth wires on the indicator and to many on the windsreen wiper arm!
Any ideas?

Yep, the early car didn't have intermittent wipe or (as I recall) wash/wipe function either. You could probably trace the wires to see what does what and use the later switch.
Also, the later cars have (I think) a more modern hazard flasher that would change the way the indicators are configured.
