I don't know how many'th a mistake this is, but I have taken the doors apart... oh woe is me. Not much idea how I will ever put them back together again!... Brings me to the subject of the moment:

Do the window runners come from anything sourceable or can anyone tell me where I can get a set made up? The present ones are kind of missing bits and the rest is brown stuff and crumbly.

When the doors are back on and petrol tanks back in I think we can put the body back on... after two years. Mind you, there's still a lot to do after that!

There has been suggestion that the runner was the same as used on Mk.2 Escorts - from a distance it does look similar and I know from experience that the Sierra had the same curvature of glass as the Tasmin, so it may be correct.
Of course you may struggle to find a Mk 2 Escort to chop up... wink

One of the guys on here has recently had a new set made, have a look up and down the last page or two 'cos I know it's been mentioned recently.

Ello! wink

I used the runners from a MK 3/4 fiesta front door, bought from a local ford specialists for about £10 each, I think he did me a deal on that though... wink

Brilliant! Thanks guys. I will set out for Ford bits suppliers now. Everything else I try to source is stupidly expensive now, so this could be a revelation! biggrin
