SEAC air intake grille
Discussion
I bought a shed load of 5mm mesh from B&Q. There was enough to do the big intake on the 400SE, with plenty spare. and it only cost about £2.95 (plus its galvanised, and paintable).
I used this mesh cos it wasnt as bad as the origional mesh (blocking up very easily.) Its big enough to allow free air flow, but small enough to stop stones and road debris. Also leaves etc that do occasionally block it are broken up quickly cos the mesh is very thin.

Mine has a gril however on a similar vien should there be something between the bottom of the radiator and the front panel (as 350 & 400)as it strikes me that a whole load of the air from the front is spilling under the radiator and thus why the car runs okay to temperature at idle/in traffic or up to 70mph any more speed and the temp rises!
