Where do i start, well Automedon dlivered my car back to me on thursday and wow the interior looks amazing it took my breath away !!.
Its taken 15 months to get the SX to this point so i went for my first drive in her to my local tvrcc meeting great bunch photos taken im told it will be in the next club write up with a photo.
So im on top of the world and yes you know whats next, a BT van has rear ended me while im waiting at a round about and pushed me into the car in front.
I feel so fed up now all that time waiting for someone to take it all away my son will be so upset when he finds out.

BT vans are often overweight, I hear, due to the amount of kit they carry around. Did it look low on it's suspension?
I doubt this will help u if there is any contesting of fault.
My sympathies bud, but as it has already been said, you should hopefully get a pay out and have the chance to improve and respray.
Fingers crossed it works out ok for you

I can't believe it, I am so sorry for you, your car looked so great this morning and you were justifiably proud of the results, the best wedge I've ever seen. I hope the pics don't rub salt in the wound, but everyone needs to see what a brilliant car you had created. Make sure you get it back on the road - what ever it takes, you deserve it!

Make sure you get her fixed... insurance companies are often all to hasty to write TVRs off as they do not understand what is involved in repairing them.
Have a read through this thread it has some good advice on how to deal with insurance companies and should help you get you P&J back up straight.

Hi Martin, don't get too distraught. I had a rear-ender on mine and it cost the other's insurance about 2k to have it fixed, I had it done at Hilton Bishop's Stortford and you can't tell. It was fixed about 2 years ago and there is no sign of any crazing coming through. They are expensive but the BT will be picking up the tab ;^)
Can you drive it anyway? I left mine for a good few months for the fiberglass to finish cracking & settle before having it fixed, but the damage wasn't too bad and I could drive it in the mean time.
There will be no question about writing off, it's well over the value necessary. Luckily with rear-enders, there is not much the culprit can do about claiming it's your fault, but you might have to pay out of your insurance for damage to the person you hit if you had stopped closer than about 2 or 3m from them and didn't have your handbrake on etc...
Let me know if you need any more front lenses - I have got some more in stock....

Oh Mate,
What can I say that has'nt all ready been said...........
I've been looking forward to seeing it ,as I almost purchased it myself when it was here in Australia.
It looked fantastic a real credit to you, and if you can do it once you can do it again.....even better if that is possible!
Stick with it

t?????........automated censoring......waOh b00l0cks, Martin. So sorry to hear this. Went through it with another TVR. Horrible gut wrenching feeling. Make sure you have a couple of options for estimates for the insurance company. 1st company I used put a massive estimate in to fix the car & the insurance company were going to write it off so I got another sensible estimate from Dulfords & they authorised the work. It's all down to money & percentage of value. Good luck fella. Stick with it.
Makes my twine of a bad paint job seem insignificant. Hope the gut wrenching feeling disappears soon and you can move on to get it sorted.
Don't know if it being written off is a good or bad thing, obviously you don't know yet but I would guess it may be by your description. My insurance says that if mine is ever written off then I have the option of keeping it to repair as required. Not sure I would want to though
