While working on my brakes I noticed a bit of play in the front wheel. Traced it to a bad outter bearing. Bearings are easily sourced locally but I don't have a part number or size for the seal for the inner bearing. Anybody know what I need? I'll owe ya a beer!

Not sure of the part numbers, but my last one went when I was about to catch the ferry at dover. I bought a kit from Partco for a Mk2 Granada, which had the full set for the hub.

Thanks but sadly we had a much different Granada here. Will see if I can use that to come up with a part number or just take the old one in with me.

Over here we'd visit an industrial bearing supplier and quote the inner, outer and width dimensions as you've given.

Yeah that's what I did too but posted so that anybody who does a search can pick up what they need before they get started. Of course there isn't any 40-55-8s available in any of the books here. Closest was a 40-55-6. Any thoughts. I'd think it should work fine.
