My aux. air device is not closing when warm...I assume it is giving erratic idle, after warm-up.
Where is best place to get one and is it still available from Ford etc. etc.

Thanks,

Ivan

Ivan, isn't there a wire which heats up the bimetal strip. You're getting power to it right? I think I have a spare in the basement if you have difficulty finding one.

It has a wire to it but if that doesnt work it works via heatsoak from the engine..Try some carb cleaner as i mentioned before as they do get gummed up sometimes or i have a spare also..Ziga

Yep do this, it is easy to remove.
Take off the two hoses, and a couple of bolts. Soak the inside with B12 Chemtool from PepBoys. Hold it over a flame to heat it, it should close (and open as it cools)
No need to buy one....you'll have plenty of chances to spend moneysmile

Addendum....once your AAD is behaving adjust the idle using the air bypass, don't use the butterfly stop screw. Air bypass screw is located under the butterfly housing, it can be seen from the front of the car.
