280i throttle cable...

Can anyone advise what car the throttle pedal (and therefore the link at the end if the throttle cable) are from on an early 280i, mine decided to part company yesterday (its a ball/socket, but they won't stay together now, have gaffa taped them as a temp fix) tried to look on the wedgepages and realised they are not there now.....when did that happen?

If my local motor factors can get a cable would be quicker than mail ordering one.
