Sounds good to me! At least I know where the place is now. I wonder if he gets many punters being so far from the road?

As long as suggesting a date is the beginning and end of it, I'm able to fit that into my schedule. I may even turn up.

Should be able to make it.

Is there any chance of a pub with better lighting? By 8 pm on an October night it'll be pitch black there.

Pubs generally don't floodlight the car parks on an unprofitable weekday unless you can suggest somewhere you know that does. Even Brewsters on Allensbank Road is poorly lit further away from the pub itself (and have a largely ignored pay and display).

What about McDonalds?

Have to get some neons fitted first though.

On a serious note, as the nights are drawing in why don't you do it on a Sunday around noon? Could even stop for sunday lunch.

Sundays are out for me I'm afraid. 5 year old daughter on weekends who isn't yet a PH'er. At least not unless it's at Charlie Chalks. LOL.

Can't make it as I will be in The Wirral visiting relatives and getting the NSX service at Two Mills.

Having cambelts and Valve Clearances. It's only got 32K on the clock and it does not need them until 60K or 7 years, so it could wait, but the implications of a cambelt failure on an NSX are way too costly to mess about. Plus it has done almost 2200 miles since the last oil chance and mine gets change every 3k on cars and 5K on the Amazons.

We should either meet earlier or see if we can pay the landlord some £££ for the lights I'll gladly chuck in a fiver.

Weekend meets will obviously be a potential problem for those of us with family commitments. However, nothing to stop those who haven't getting on with it!

Equally an early evening meet would mean similar issues for me....

I'd say that its pretty much an insoluble problem when meeting in the Autumn/Winter months - just have to spend longer in the bar, I guess!

Shame we're going to miss the NSX again....

Exotic service requirements eh? What's a cambelt anyway?

Lads if it is on Wednesday 5th October 2005 at 8pm I will be there.

Cambelt is a timing belt. When it goes...well let's not even think about it. BTW Some NSX owner go up to 90K without changing them, but that is just plain silly. BTW valve clearances are not due until 60K but it does not hurt to have them done every 30K.

Any ideas as to how many of us there will be?

What are valve clearances? I don't know, all this technical wizardry, you'll be telling me you need more than one camshaft next.LOL.

We had 13 turn up last time but the take-up on this one is slow at the moment so can we have some hands in the air including those who came last time.

I thought that's what this was. OK. Abandon this thread and see new one.
