Anyone recommend a good machine shop type place around the Cardiff, Newport area.
Need to get the snapped off brake line union out of my brembo calliper, and then get a new one to re attach it all.

Tried ezi-outs & heat and it's not budging

I'll mention it to my uncle who's a bit of a Fred Dibner old school engineer. He has a fully equipped engineering workshop at the end of his garden - it's a site to behold.

He's one of the few remaining engineers who served a long apprenticeship, been engineering all his life and now at 81 he's still a remarkable guy and can just about work miracles.

He's on the Wenvoe side of Cardiff if that helps.

Thank you,
Let me know if he can help - or is interested (location/Wenvoe isn't a problem)
I'd much prefer to hand over the caliper to someone with a bit of "history" rather than have someone bodge the job.
I need to keep the bit thats stuck in there so I can work out what thread it is and get a new union.

I've tried ringing him a few times without success, I'll try again tomorrow. If you get it done elsewhere, just let me know.

Hi
thanks for the offer, but found a very good machinist who was just down the road from me.
After a trip to Merlin Motorsports yesterday, all my brake woes are over, well apart from putting it all back together and bleeding the system
