Yeah I've been down there and ridden it, and its really quite good. Good selection of jumps and stuff.
Make sure your rear tyre is up to scratch because I was sliding around eveywhere, and also get your suspension set up correctly to take the impact of the jumps.

I think its quite booked up at the moment though, so it might be a while before they can slot you in down there. Other than that just ride it and enjoy it!!

Cheers guys,
I went down to the site yesterday afternoon & spoke to the guy who runs it. He took me round to see the tracks, it all looks pretty cool, he also said that they hadn't started to advertise yet, but they have permission 7 days a week. I have gotta say well done to the council, it must be one of the best things the've ever done.... Good view too

Advice wise i was after info on what bike to start on, pretty much decided on a cr125/yz125?? Any opinions?

P.S What needs to be done to make on road legal?

The bike depends on yourself really, personally I would go for a 250 to start cause you'll soon want more power. I started on a 250 and within 6 months was up to a 450. But in all honesty I rode that course on the 450 and found it to much, so I would stick to a 250.

In regards to making it road legal theres a few things. Firstly you need a bike license! After that the bike has to be taxed, insured and if its older than 3 years MOT'd. Also has to have lights, horn etc. If your thinking of buying a full motocross bike then it wont be road legal (and you wont need license), but if you go for an enduro then in all likley hood it will be.

ive got an older yz125 with an uprated piston and it goes pretty well but as said when you get used to the power you will always yearn for a bit more

Personally I have always preffered 2strokes. I prefer how manic they are and really need to be worked to keep them at their peak power.

However, from a maintenance view 4 strokes will go on forever and dont need to be worked into a frenzy to get anywhere!
