im looking for somewhere to eat on friday night nearish to the blackwood area for myself the girlfriend and family,has anyone been somewhere they can recommend for good quality unfussy pub food?

half-way house wyllie near blackwood. nice meal. nice place can get busy, but book in advanced.

I dont know if its too far but Junction 28 in bassaleg does good food.
bout 5-6miles down the valley from blackwood.

You could try the Monnington Lodge a Pub (would be my choice), Maes Manor hotel or The Half Way. All good but the latter two are a bit futher out of town.
