I've been very impressed.
Easy to pick up and play, graphically lovely and dynamically miles ahead of Forza 2... Weight transfer under braking, FWD and RWD differences, thoroughly enjoyed it so far.
Nice single player, the 'season' format allows you to move through the game easily, but there are loads of races to complete outside the season too.
There is quite a PH following too I gather, although I've not joined in any races yet.

You may need to tell your router about your Xbox? If you've played before you might have been through the process, but depending on the router you may need to set it to give access to Xbox Live. If you have something like a BT Home Hub there is a specific option in 'Games & Application Sharing' to allow it through. It even specifies particular games - Forza's not one of them, but access to Xbox Live can be sorted.
May be you've got it all done now, but hope it helps.
