First Track Day
Discussion
Last weekend I took the S to a Keevil track day run by www.motorsport-events.co.uk
It was bloody brilliant! Honestly, my cheeks were hurting from smiling so much
I was really apprehensive before hand. Kept thinking, what if someone is to close when i spin, what if im to slow for other people on the track etc etc
But the motorsport guys briefing at the beginning really helped put my mind at ease. For anyone who hasnt done one, they basically say, anyone driving to close to each other will be blacked flagged, can only overtake if acknowledged by the person if front first etc
It was really well organised, and everyone there were really friendly.
At one point the catcher on my roof came lose. I had no tools or anything. As soon as i mentioned this to people on track day i had a swarm of people, armed with every tool you could think off, helping me take the interior trim off and tightening up the lose screw, and i was back out on the track within minutes!
There were some treats on the day, an 09 nissan GTR, GT3, loads of exiges.
Due to the no overtaking rule unless acknowledged, we very often had a ferrari road block siutation going. Despite being blue flagged on every corner, he would let no one over take. Funny video here of it
