yes david brown is the right answer and thought most would get it but i only found out yesterday that it is also the gearbox used (a david brown gearbox commonly found in tractors) and thats what suprised me

David Brown 6 speed gear boxes were found in many of the old British trucks normally behind the legendary Gardener engine. David Brown was probably best known for his farm tractors.
