Can anyone reccomend a good pub/restaurant for a lunch on a Saturday. It needs to be very baby friendly and ideally non chain.
The first person to suggest Freeport will have their tyres let down.

Many thanks.

If not too late, try The Compasses in Pattiswick.

Not the cheapest in the world but won't disappoint and is fine for families (may need to book).

I read the op post the day he posted yet for the hell of me could not think of anything to suggest.

Then you come along and suggest where I spend at least a Sunday lunchtime a month.

How true that sometimes the thing staring you in the face is so hard to see.

Thanks for the idea folks, in the end we did not end up going to Braintree but Tunbridge Wells instead.
Its good to know of the place anyway.
