Mosler 'raid' Sunday 29th April.
Discussion
Well with just over a month to go to our first 'raid' of the season, I thought I should get things underway.
As per the title, we will be having a return visit to Mosler's UK home at East Dereham on Sunday 29th April. The last visit was very well attended and we were made to feel very welcome. The format will be much the same as last time, meet for lunch followed by a run to the factory. The staff at Mosler are making themselves available between 2.00pm and 6.00pm giving plenty of time for a good look around and photos etc.
I already have a few people on the list for this one, but if you would like to attend please add yourself below. I will need to give an idea of numbers to Mosler about a week before the visit.
Any questions please feel free to ask away. I will post more details nearer the time.

Bit of a question here chaps, has anyone got any recommendations for a pub for Sunday lunch capable of handling 20+ people for this event? Ideally it would need to be on the South side of Dereham (possibly the Watton area).
This is only a thought at present, as it seems a little pointless to trail everyone down to Tostock for lunch only to have an hour or so drive from there to Dereham.
Over to you.

Hi Darren,
Yep if we start from The Gardeners Arms then that would be the route. However, I,m suggesting that it may be a better idea to find a pub more local to Dereham for this date only, as it seems a little daft to all trail miles to Tostock only to have to travel another hour or so to get to Dereham.
Any sugestions for pubs near Dereham????

I have to say I don't frequent Dereham pubs - I'm more a Norwich man for that. However, I've been for a meal at a pub/bar in Watton called "Willow House". This was a couple of years ago, and it was a good meal then!
WILLOW HOUSE
2, High St, Watton, Thetford, Norfolk IP25 6AE
Tel: 01953 881181
• En Suite Rooms - non smoking • Choice of Bars -1 non smoking • A La Carte Restaurant • Wooden Beams & Fireplaces • Large Car Park • 16th Century Inn
Restaurants - Pub Food, Hotels
I've just spoken a guy there and asked some general questions. He did ask about date and which car group we are. I told him, I was suggesting his pub for this meet, but stressed to him it there are no promises at this stage.
They say they are busy on Sundays around lunch time (12 Noon-2pm) but can easily cater for 15-20 people in the bar. Restaurant seating has to be booked. Their car park (from memory) is suitable to PH cars
As you'll see from the map below, the pub is just off the A1075, and is about 10-20 minutes from the factory (which gives you alot of time to get from pub to factory at a leisurely pace).

Hope this info helps, Ian!

Nice one Darren. That may be just the job. Please award yourself the PHEA reconnaissance medal !!!
I,ll see what the masses wish to do and take it from there.

A reconnaissance mission, for which I didn't even leave my sofa, let alone the house
Bear in mind, for those who would want a "proper" meal or Sunday roast, we'll have to book the restaurant seating, otherwise its bar food for the lot of you
Would you like me to hand over to you to do the booking, or would you like me to do it? For restaurant bookings, I'm assuming they would want exact numbers?
I should be able to make this date, but can I put out a plea now....
If someone coming know's they'll have a spare seat, would it be possible for me to occupy it? Fuel money will be paid
Assuming I can make it, I'd like a lift from pub to factory and back to Shipdham please (you drive through Shipdham between Watton and the factory - the A1075 cuts through Shipdham).
Regards,
Darren
