Newmarket & Kimbolton Shows Roll Call
Discussion
with the show season almost upon us, I need to get going with numbers for the two shows above.
Newmarket Sunday 1st July
Last year was the first year we attended this show (see here). Although its a fairly small classic car show compared with say Helmingham, I think that all who attended last year enjoyed the day. There are also a number of local new car dealers there trying to sell you there 'wares'.
Kimbolton Sunday 15th July
This is a new show this year for us, although a few of our members have been before and I have good reports of it. See here for more info. I think this show should have something for everyone as its not jus a car show, but a country fair.
Right then, who wants to go where! Please let me know in the usual way of either adding yourself to this thread or email me though my profile.
John can you 'sticky' this one please.

On a serious note it took me over a week to recover from the Furball last year - we were pretty much running on adrenaline for most of the week and when we finally got back and relaxed our bodies just let go with fatigue. Well worth it though and I can pretty much guarantee it'll be the best weeks driving you'll ever experience!

Question for the chaps who have done the DreamRides - what route do you do and how long is it? Just wondering really.
I've not done D/Rides before but having spoken with Boo and Nigel the route is generally around 10 miles. I don't think theres any set route but the roads around there are really good - theres a nice run up past Grafham water, a short stint on the A14 to stretch the legs and back down to Kimbolton. I'll probably be out the day before (I only live down the road) trying out a few routes.

the Grafham route is/would be great fun too (only done a ride around that way once, in a Corvette a few years ago!) the problem is though that the B645/B660 are a bikers mecca around that time and the BiB tend to monitor the routes out that way quite closely too at that time of the year as well (Nigel can fill you all in on that!)
it is tremendous fun though! i can't recommend the experience highly enough!

I can't make it this year as planning to do Little Havens with Club Scuderia that day.
